Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note.

The benchmark EGX30 index dipped 12.91 points, 0.09%, finishing the session at 14,753.68 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index added 0.39% to 692.04 points, while the broader EGX100 index edged up 0.35% to 1,751.44 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index leveled up 0.51% to 2,375.39 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 235.3 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.09 billion through 31,270 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 103.9 million, while Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 82.7 million and EGP 21.16 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) shed 0.52% to EGP 88.85, with a turnover of EGP 45.01 million.

Market capitalisation gained EGP 4.2 billion and closed at EGP 817.4 billion.
